Transportation Supervisor needed for USPS contractor
Job description
USPS contractor that has been in business for over 45 years is seeking a supervisor to manage operations in Nashville. Supervisor would be in charge of a small fleet of 18 straight truck routes and 6 semi routes. Routes run mostly Monday thru Saturday and a few trucks on Sunday. Typical hours are 3AM to 7 AM making sure trucks leave on time Monday-Saturday, administrative work from 7AM -9 AM and then on call till 9PM for emergencies. Administrative duties include taking trucks for repair, hiring new drivers, yard checks, and other transportation related tasks. Supervisor would be in charge of scheduling relief drivers to cover routes as needed. Applicant would also need to cover any routes as needed.
Requirements
- 2 Years of Commercial driving experience in straight truck or larger
- Class A license preferred
- DOT physical
- Pass Drug Screen
- 2 years of Management experience or dispatching drivers
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,726.41 - $58,682.43 per year
