What You’ll Do

Title: Transport Driver (Part-Time)
Location: Elmhurst, IL

Position Summary:
Vehicle Transport Driver is responsible for transferring heavy-duty trucks or chase vehicles between dealerships and various customer locations.

Essential functions and expectations:
Deliver new trucks, used trucks, and customer vehicles to various locations within the Chicago land area
Follow through with customer returns accurately
Communicate any damages or mechanical issues timely to TransChicago
Work with Service departments and Truck Sales departments to communicate customer feedback
Education and/or required experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
2 years of driving experience required
Clean DMV motor vehicle record required
CDL Class B license required with air brake endorsement
Must be able to successfully pass a DOT medical certification evaluation
CDL Class A license preferred
The ability to read and follow written instructions is required
Ability to work independently, customer service skills, organizational skills, and a positive attitude are required
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
Driver must be physically capable of performing required work
Follow appropriate safety procedures while driving trucks to destination of Transchicago locations or customer locations
Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order, report to location manager if any issues are found
Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles
Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
