Job Description Summary: A Training Specialist in the Operations Support Group will support the organization’s efforts to develop and implement technical training programs for associates across the Airgas Merchant Gases - Primary Production (AMG-PP) Group, under the direction of the Training Manager.

This role is focused on Technical and Technology Training that is a part of a Training Plan to develop an Associate’s Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities to perform their Job or a Task properly. An Associate’s Training Plan typically includes -

• Human Resources (HR) training

• Technical and Technology Training

• Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality (HSEQ) training

• Security training

• Risk Management training

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of combined work and/or education in Industrial Gas, Oil & Gas and/or Chemical Manufacturing.

• Applicants must have some experience in training others, whether on-the-job, in a classroom, or a combination thereof.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Maintain, and sometimes Manage, Records and Documentation associated with training in an organized and professional manner.

• Participate in the Feedback and Review processes in order to maintain Continuous Improvement of programs, policies, and procedures owned by the Department.

• Participate in the definition of skills and learning objectives for the development of technical associates according to their skill and organization level, as well as requirements for their site or support role. Technical Associates includes, but is not limited to, personnel working in the following areas -

  • Production / Operations

  • Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, Maintenance, and Repair

  • Engineering and Support

• Assist Managers at Sites and Offices with meeting the requirements of training programs, policies, and procedures owned by the Department.

• Support site and support managers with understanding how to develop Individual Training Plans for their associates based on the training matrices

• Proficient in either Google Suite including Google sheets, and Google Slides or Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
