CME Associates, one of the largest infrastructure consulting firms in NJ, is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Traffic Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience with a focus on Traffic Engineering and Transportation Planning projects to join our growing Transportation Department. Requirements
- Must be a proficient with Highway Capacity Software, Synchro, and other traffic micro-simulation software.
- Must have strong organizational skills, people and project management skills, excellent technical report writing capabilities and communication skills.
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment with multi-disciplinary professionals and have an entrepreneurial mindset to grow the business.
- Must be experienced in traffic impact analysis, traffic mitigation strategies, safety analysis and preparation of maintenance and protection of traffic schemes.
- Must have experience with presentations to Municipal Planning and Zoning Boards including previous acceptance as a traffic expert.
- Strong working knowledge of AASHTO, ITE, HCM, HSM, MUTCD and NJDOT Design Standards is required.
- Substantial Traffic Signal design experience is required.
- Experience in the Development of Traffic Detour and Staging Plans is needed.
- Experience with the preparation of Construction Plans, Technical Specifications and Pre-Bid Engineers Estimates for public bidding in accordance with Local Public Contract requirements necessary.
- Must have an ability to both prepare and review Traffic Impact Studies and Parking Studies.
- Other software skills related to Auto-turn, AutoCAD, Word and Excel necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
BS in Traffic/Civil Engineering, P.E. Registration and PTOE (Certification as Professional Operations Engineer) preferred.
