Maine Brews Cruise is seeking Tour Guides and Bus Drivers who are passionate about showcasing the best of Portland to both local residents and visitors. The ideal candidate should possess strong storytelling skills, be knowledgeable about the city's historical landmarks and food and beverage scene, and have an outgoing personality with the ability to engage in conversation.

Responsibilities

• Lead guests on tours by bus and walking showcasing the local food and beverage industry, historical landmarks, and other points of interest.
• Speak in front of medium to large groups comfortably.
• Provide a friendly, welcoming, and approachable experience for visitors aboard the tours.
• Manage time and move groups along when needed.
• Seamlessly transition between lecture mode and chat mode to engage guests.
• Work both independently and as part of a team.
• For Bus Driver positions, drive a 15-passenger minibus and larger capacity vehicles if authorized, safely in city and highway conditions.
• Further education through various methods.

For those wishing to drive, candidates must have 2 years of experience driving a 15-passenger vehicle or similar, be able to drive safely in city and highway conditions, and maintain a professional appearance.

Full-time positions are available from May through the end of October and Part-time positions are available year round. The hourly rate starts at $15/hour. Gratuity can addtional $10-$30/hr

Other requirements

• Wear company uniforms as provided and maintain a professional appearance.
• Have local tourism knowledge. Beer and Alcohol knowledge is a plus.
• For Bus Driver positions, have 2 years of experience driving a 15-passenger vehicle or similar, and be able to drive safely in city and highway conditions.
