Job description
The Bibb County School District is now accepting applications for Social Worker.
Candidates must be certified in School Social Work (P-12) to be considered for this position.
JOB SUMMARY:
Counsels and aids students; provides social services and assistance in obtaining information on the use and availability of social and community services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Master's degree of above in social work is required.
2. Must possess (or meet qualifications for) Georgia educational certification in the field of social work.
3. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a social service field is required.
4. Any alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
SALARY, TERMS, AND BENEFITS:
1. 195 day work year.
2. Salary based on certification and experience; placement on the Georgia Annual Salary Schedule and position supplement(s).
3. Excellent benefits package (including health insurance; dental and life insurance; employee assistance program); personal and sick leave; membership in Teachers' Retirement System.
