Job description

· Adhere to budget costs as determined by the CFO.

· Develop a spare tire program for all trucks.

· Establish set pricing for tire purchases in El Paso Vendors

· Identify Set Tire brands to utilize on trailer and tractor positions such as Oliver, etc.

· Establish a branding system of 100% by the marking of all trailer and tractors

· Track Tire location through Michelin B2B program.

· Oversee the casing and tire recap program

· Daily inspections of all trailers and tires in El Paso to include tire wear and tire damage

· Review all tire breakdowns over the road.

· Create an internal daily check for all tires in the yards

· Upkeep and maintain the maintenance of all equipment including service vehicles such as but not limited to; oil changes, monthly inspections and weekly vehicle washes.

· Must keep driveway of shop clean and clear, no trucks to park in front of bay doors.

· Upkeep of all the tire facilities free of dirt and debris.

· Must keep all tires separated by category such as new steers, cap drivers, cap trailer, scrap, virgin runoffs (driver steers) to be used on trailers.

· All inventory should and must be placed on pallet packing.

· All new steers should be aligned (no exceptions)

· Daily mounting: All tires (steers, drivers, and trailers) should be pre-mounted on appropriate wheels, tire must be delivered to Mercantile location daily, take-offs at Mercantile should be swept daily with mounted rims.

· All tractors must be worked on at new tire shop, not to be worked on at Maintenance shop, must use a CDL driver to move unit.

· All new trucks must convert inner wheel to steal.

· Identify any mechanical fault that may lead to major break down of equipment and suggest best ways to mitigate further problem

· He/she is also to ensure that the facility areas are always clean and free from hazardous objects or substances.

· He/she must always seek for technological advancements that better the maintenance process.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
