Position Summary:
NJIT, a NCAA Division I Institution, member of the America East Conference, and the EIVA Conference is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time position in the area of Athletic Ticket Sales & Marketing.

The Ticket Sales & Marketing position will report to the Assistant AD for Business/Ticketing and the Fan Engagement & Marketing Coordinator, with the goal of using marketing and promotional strategies to help increase attendance, generate revenue, assist with game day activities, and engage fans in a collegiate environment.

Essential Functions:
  • Serves as one of the primary ticket office contacts in the Athletic Department, processing single game and group tickets for all ticketed events.
  • Effectively communicate with the general public through phone, email, and web space to provide most up-to-date ticket information.
  • Assist in building and executing new relationships to increase individual and group sales opportunities.
  • Actively pursue group ticket sales to organizations, businesses and youth groups/programs.
  • Help create community outreach and grassroots marketing programs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external campus groups.
  • Aid the marketing staff with developing, coordinating and implementing marketing and promotional operations across all sports.
  • Work to increase exposure, boost attendance, and enhance the game day experience for all programs.
  • Assist in preparing and running in-game production, including all audio/visual elements in stadium and arena events.
  • Must be able to work during regular business office hours as well as required athletic events as assigned by the Athletic Department. This includes all home ticketed events such as men’s & women’s soccer, men’s & women’s basketball, men’s volleyball & men’s lacrosse games.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective, professional, organized.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and a professional appearance are essential.
  • Past experience with group and general ticket sales experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of a computerized ticketing system is preferred.
  • Must be flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays.
  • At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
