You’ll collaborate with various business and functional partners in developing, implementing, and overseeing Aqua’s third party risk management program – overseeing vendors and dealers while focused on mitigating the legal, financial and reputational risks while ensure that our third parties uphold the high standards and great customer service that Aqua holds itself to.

Flexible work option: Although working at our Headquarters location in Wausau, WI is preferred, you can choose to work from your own home office space within the United States (remote).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a best-in-class robust and flexible Third-Party Risk Management Program to enable Aqua’s business strategy with appropriate risk management
  • Collaborating, building influence in cross-functional partnerships, and developing stakeholder relationships across the organization and with third party providers is an essential part of this role
  • Leveraging experience to evaluate the adequacy, effectiveness and execution of program and the internal controls, recommending and driving improvements or enhancements in alignment with internal strategies, industry best practices, standard security frameworks, and regulatory guidance
  • Being accountable vendor risk assessments, periodic monitoring, risk remediation, and reporting (both internal and external)
  • Conducting vendor performance monitoring to proactively identify issues and work with Aqua stakeholders and third parties as appropriate to track the risk remediation through closure including assisting the business in creating either formal Mitigation Plans or Issues
  • Maintaining both individual vendor views as well as an aggregate view of risk across all third parties, including linkage to other operational risks for a holistic understanding of risk landscape
  • Developing Key Performance and Key Risk Indicator and other metrics and regular reporting to measure and track compliance, risk, and the effectiveness of the program including regular and ad hoc reporting to internal as well as external stakeholders such as regulators
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships based on trust and transparency with primary business stakeholders and third-party contacts
  • Support the company's commitment to risk management and protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems and data
  • Reviewing new dealer requests from Sales and Marketing for criteria set-forth in the approval process checklist
  • All other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by your manager, the General Counsel or other designee of the General Counsel

You’re set up for success in this role if:

  • You have 3+ years’ experience overseeing a third party / vendor risk management program, preferably at a bank or fintech/bank
  • You’re familiar with vendor management expectations for banks and non-bank financial services companies
  • You have excellent computer-assisted research and analytical skills with a focus on problem solving
  • You’re a well-organized, proactive self-starter able to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously with competing and changing deadlines
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to effectively present information to and interact with all levels of management
  • You have a growth mindset / “start-up” mentality and a high-degree of mature, self-direction and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • You’re an independent thinker with strong analytical skills and ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced environment
  • You can effectively prioritize work and business needs and adapt to change/resilient
  • You have a strong sense of ethics and integrity
  • You’re proficient with basic computer applications, including Google Suites and Microsoft Office products
