REQUIREMENTS: 1) 18 years of age, or older 2) CPR 3) Must pass Fit for Duty Test
New Hires will have 60 days to acquire the required certifications (BLS and/or any other life support certifications required for the job).
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The therapy technician provides quality health care services under the supervision of Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Therapist. Prepares patients and equipment for treatment, performs housekeeping duties of the department, and assists supervising therapist in selected procedures. Performs other job-related duties, as requested or required. Superficial knowledge of patient care and some knowledge of anatomy and physiology would be helpful but not necessary. Must be flexible and have the ability to work with a wide variety of patients across all settings at Wise Health System. This role must utilize appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.

REPORTS TO : Reports to the Manager of Acute Care Therapy operationally; To the Director of Therapy Services administratively.
OSHA TASK CATEGORY TWO : There is occasional risk of exposure to mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashed during the performance of the job. Universal precautions must be observed, and protective devices worn when performing a task that is likely to cause exposure.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged physical activity ambulating within the hospital system; dexterity, lifting/carrying, reaching, kneeling/sitting, pulling/pushing, vision, and hearing.
