Walker Methodist Health Center offers skilled care, transitional care, rehabilitation and memory care for 330 residents and is located in Minneapolis.
Walker Methodist Health Center is seeking an experienced Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator to plan and manage programming to meet the residents’ social, physical, spiritual, mental, emotional and sensory needs. The Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator will complete resident assessments, care plans and documentation for programming for their assigned case load. Will also be a Van Driver for resident activities.

*Schedule:*
Full-time work hours are Monday through Friday with Saturday rotation.
Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a Health and Human Services field, such as Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy, Psychology or Sociology
• Previous experience in dementia care, behavior management, developing creative programming and leading residents in transitions. Consideration will be given for experience in a skilled nursing facility therapeutic recreation department
• Basic computer skills. Electronic health record systems experience preferred
• Minnesota driver’s license and good driving record
• Ability to complete and pass DOT physical exam
• Certification as CTRS, MT-BC and ADC preferred
• Sincere and strong interest in serving aging residents and their families
