UCT is looking for an experienced Test Technician 2 to join our team in Chandler, AZ! Responsible for functional test of custom electro-mechanical equipment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform the assembly, set-up, testing and troubleshooting of electronic, electro-mechanical and automation systems and machines to meet production schedule
  • Functionally tests and troubleshoots semi-conductor manufacturing equipment to component level
  • Provide input and recommendations to Management and other team members on improvement opportunities based on data and observations
  • Utilizes both manual and automated tests to perform system level testing to ensure product quality and reliability in accordance with company specifications
  • Works cooperatively on project work team; documents and communicates actions, irregularities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communications skills and computer literacy is essential
  • Must have a sense of urgency and the ability to stay on schedule
  • Must have the ability to work well with coworkers
  • Punctual, dependable, and the ability to work extended shifts and/or weekend shifts with short notice
  • Extensive knowledge of trouble shooting skills, quality, and process orientation
  • Good understanding of test fixtures and test equipment

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • AA or BA in Electronics/Electro-Mechanical Automation or equivalent Military/Work experience

Experience Requirement:

Work Experience:

  • 2 - 4 years’ experience in a Manufacturing Test Environment

  • Ability to move arms, hands and fingers.
  • Required to have visual acuity to perform assigned tasks.

Environmental Exposure:

  • Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, and exposure to chemicals.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment.

Overnight Travel:

  • Work may require out of town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting).
