INNOVIM Defense Services is seeking a Test Engineer to take on complex computer engineering programs that provide diagnostic and programmatic support to the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) NISSC II program that provides classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability in operational work centers at Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station (CMAFS), Peterson AFB (PAFB), Offutt AFB (OAFB), Vandenberg AFB (VAFB), and other military sites, world-wide.

Job Description

The Test Engineer develops, maintains, and evaluates complex engineering computer systems. Performs coding, testing, installing, and maintaining engineering computer programs having features including the multiplicity of functions, critical constraints, and elaborate input/output.

Develops computer program documentation and operational procedures. Prepares project resource estimates, schedules, and cost analyses. Provides diagnostic support to correct processing anomalies in complex computer programs.

Assists in the preparation of specifications and other activities that require knowledge of programming principles and techniques. Interprets requirements and performs analyses to ensure that objectives are met. Assists in the training of less experienced personnel.

Typical Duties Include:

  • Support Agile team(s) in review and refinement of Acceptance/Verification/Validation Criteria and Software/System Test approaches.
  • Lead Agile team(s) in the development and implementation of testing infrastructure for Product software/systems.
  • Attend and Participate in Periodic Large Scale Agile Planning events.
  • Attend and Participate in standard Agile ritual meetings (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives).

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Clearance Requirements: Secret

Educational Requirements: BS degree in a related scientific, or engineering discipline and 5 to 8 years of progressive

experience, or any equivalent combination of education, experience, training, and certifications. Certification Requirements: N/A

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 5 years experience in the testing and verification of software and/or systems.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the development and use of automated testing of software/systems.
  • Highly desired: Experience working on NISSC II Products/Applications
  • Highly desired: Experience with Agile Development methodologies.
  • Highly desired: Experience in Unit Test Development (nUnit, etc.)
  • Desired: Experience in Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration Environments.
