The
Territory Marketing Specialist works closely with the Regional Marketing Director and Home Office Marketing to ensure Marketing goals and objectives are achieved.
- Serves a critical role in the execution and achievement of key financial objectives, to include new business development/growth strategies, book management, agency relationships, customer retention and staff training.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of all Acadia products and programs and be able to promote and facilitate the placement of profitable business from Acadia agents. Task may involve training/instructing agency staff about Acadia products & programs.
- Develop, communicate and monitor Branch growth strategies and goals.
- Handle and resolve a variety of agency issues and problems that may develop to include, but not limited to contractual, accounting, and agency acquisition questions and concerns. This includes underwriting, monitoring REHAB programs as well as handling agency termination actions.
- Maintains closeness to the market through agency visitations, participation in agency meetings and professional endeavors.
- Coordinate the collection, cataloging and evaluation of competitive information by the Branch for use in rate reviews and product development efforts.
- Assist in analyzing competitors' products and coverages, to include preparation of appropriate comparisons that help our underwriters and agents retain and write new business with Acadia. Marketing Intelligence coordination?
- Prepare for and direct the Branch agency review process.
- Follow-up and monitor all Agency Action Plans to ensure timely completion.
- Prospect for and appoint new agents as required
- In conjunction with Branch Underwriting staff, help prepare for and participate in your state's Rate Review process.
- Be thoroughly familiar with the features and benefits of Acadia's Profit Sharing Program and able to explain it to our staff and our agents and ensure timely and accurate completion of said profit sharing agreement. Assist in answering or researching questions, as required.
- Contributes to Acadia's success by developing departmental and individual staff goals; measuring results, rewarding achievements or taking corrective action, as necessary.
- Keeps abreast of industry developments, particularly those impacting his or her area(s) of responsibility.
- Understands Acadia's business and the factors that affect its success.
- Communicates regularly and effectively with branch staff, both as a team and individually.
- Operates independently with limited supervision, and serves as a member of the Branch Leadership Team.
- Frequent travel within the territory is required.

- Acting as liaison between the company and the state legislative and regulatory bodies and/or other associations.
- Monitoring the political environment for opportunities/threats to our operational plan.
- Work with management to develop strategies to deal with the above.
- Represent Acadia on committees and at hearings dealing with regulatory and legislative issues.
- Promote Acadia's position to the regulatory and legislative entities.
- Managing the Branch Marketing efforts in more than one state
- Has underwriting authority
- Act as primary contact person for NELMA and NRLA
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; three or more years insurance industry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
