Position: Terminal Attendant

Reports to: Terminal Manager

General Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Terminal Attendant at Indianapolis shall be the day-to-day terminal tasks needed to maintain the facility and service the customers. This will include but not be limited to unloading rail cars, loading trucks and basic maintenance. The Terminal Attendant shall work under direct supervision of the Terminal Manager and be responsible for following Kosmos Cement/Eagle Materials management directives, policies and procedures.

An overarching responsibility of this position is to follow all safety guidelines at the terminal site.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure all site activities are performed in a safe and efficient manner while adhering to safety regulations and established operational procedures.
• Immediately report all safety related incidents.
• Work to unload rail cars to keep cement inventory in the silo.
• Load customer trucks with cement.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to terminal truck-loading efficiencies and organization. This must include sound and accurate communication for all activities related to inventory and the delivery of cement via rail cars. A professional decorum must be displayed at all times.
• Devote full energy to communicate in a timely and accurate fashion with management, personnel, and service providers/contractors.
• Exhibit basic maintenance and troubleshooting abilities.

• Organization and processing of paperwork as needed to load cement from the silo to customer trucks to meet customer needs. Ensure accurate Bills of Lading are maintained at all times.

Qualifications:

• Proven communication, interpersonal skills, electronic communication, and solid basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
• Experience in the construction, paving, ready mix concrete, and/or cement related industries a strong plus.
• Experience with unloading rail cars & using a trackmobile a strong plus
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Demonstrated experience in customer service and industrial equipment.

• Good troubleshooting skills mechanically and electrically.

• Ability to maintain a professional image with the public.
