Tennis Shop Attendant

Director of Tennis
Summary/Objective
This position is under the direct supervision of the Director of Tennis and is responsible for assisting members and guests with their tennis playing and shopping needs.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Answers telephones.
2. Greets and registers all members and guests.
3. Bills all service/usage fees and merchandise sales.
4. Makes certain courtside areas are clear of dirty towels, cups, etc. at the end of each shift.
5. Keeps tennis shop clean and orderly. Replenishes merchandise as needed.
6. Checks supply of water, cups, and towels.
7. Schedules lessons for Tennis Professionals.
8. Sets-up ball machine for members when requested.

Work Environment
The Tennis Shop Attendant operates in the tennis shop and on the tennis court in a member services environment. The person in this role routinely interacts in a professional manner with both employees and members.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position requires the ability to work assigned shifts, Tuesday through Sunday, 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum 6 months experience in customer service.
- Computer literate. Must be able to use Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience working in a tennis or other sports venue.
