Philadelphia Country Club seeks a Tennis Shop Attendant to join our accomplished team. This role oversees the Tennis Pro-Shop assisting Members and their guests with retail purchases, court booking, and program information.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Assists with Member inquiries and provides information and answers questions concerning the Tennis program and upcoming events. Promotes events and assists with marketing of tennis activities.
- Monitors online court booking including lessons and events.
- Maintains the Pro-Shop and Tennis lounge to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Operates a computer to enter, retrieve, review and modify data and utilizes Microsoft Office programs. Answers and returns phone calls with a pleasant demeanor providing gracious hospitality.
Job Requirements:
- Well organized, dependable person who has the ability to work individually or collaboratively with a team.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions, asks questions when needed.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and show courtesy, friendliness, respect, and a helpful attitude.
- Provide exceptional member service and uses prompt and responsive follow-through. Asks questions to identify Member needs and/or expectations. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries.
- The employee frequently life, carries, or otherwise moves objects weighing up to 50 pounds and will spend over 4 hours daily standing or walking. Depending on the requirements of the event, this role may be performed indoors or outdoors.
- Must meet PCC standards for uniform, grooming, and hygiene.

The club hosted four National Squash Racquets Doubles tournaments from 1936-38 and again in 2015. It also hosted the 2013 U.S. Open Squash Doubles tournament. The tennis history includes the 1930 and 1932 Davis Cup matches.
