Job description
We are looking to hire an energetic, organized, dependable and quick learner for our Medical Biller/Collector to assist with the accounting team getting their outstanding collections under 90 days.
IMPORTANT: This role is a 3 month temporary position.
Responsibilities of the Medical Billing Clerk:
- Review, analyze and prepare rebilling for denials/rejected invoices and claims for Medicaid and other fee for services provided
- Research aging receivables to discover errors, mistakes in the processing
- Assist the senior members of the accounting team with account receivables, other billings and special projects
- Assist with basic billing functions
Requirements of the Medical Billing Clerk:
- 1-2 years in billing, including third-party billing, and accounts payable(Deal breaker)
- Must have Insurance Denials & Appeals experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize & meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
