What You’ll Do

Title: Technician Training Center Instructor
Location: Elmhurst, IL

Position Summary:
Here at TransChicago Truck Group we know that the future of our industry depends on the next generation of technicians. Just as truck technology evolves, so does TransChicago Truck Group’s Training Center. We’re looking for a Technician Training Center Instructor who will continue to foster an environment conducive to learning; you will teach technicians about the latest technologies and keep them engaged and interested. You'll also help develop and deliver training materials and methods.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for conducting training courses for new and existing TransChicago technicians
• Responsible for conducting training courses for technicians from other Freightliner dealers and TransChicago customers
• Partner with service managers regarding employee training needs
• Organize, develop, or source training programs to meet specific training needs
• Inform technicians about training options
• Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, on-the-job coaching
• Provide feedback to program participants and management
• Attend continuing education courses to learn about new products and repair/diagnostic techniques
• Maintain in-house training facilities and equipment as needed
• Attend technician job fairs

What We’re Looking For

Education and/or required experience:

• High school diplomas or general education degree.
• 1 year of related or industry experience.
• Freightliner, Western Star, and/or Detroit knowledge is a plus
