The Gaffney plant opened in 2004 and was the first plant that Boysen built for the American market. The first customer was the BMW plant in Spartanburg. Services at the Gaffney plant include Just-In-Sequence production of complete exhaust systems and components. This plant features robotic welding, automated high bay warehouse, canning systems for catalytic converters, assembly line, and state of the art measuring.

*PLC/TECHNICIAN/ELECTRICAL*

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Troubleshoot and program equipment using Programmable Logic Controller (PLC’s) using Siemens.

Troubleshoot electrical problems on automated equipment. Maintain and modify existing system.
Create backup data for PLC.

Assist in general maintenance including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, automated equipment repair, and machinery preventive maintenance.

Install, maintain and troubleshoot high voltage electrical circuits.

Maintain work area in a neat, clean, and organized manner, complying with 5S housekeeping standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates degree or equivalent from a 2 year college or technical school.

Minimum 3 yrs. related experience maintenance and programming using Siemens PLC software.

Strong knowledge of electrical engineering design in the field of industrial automation, troubleshooting and servicing.

Must be able to ready and analyze technical schematics and blue prints. Knowledge of German electrical schematics a plus.

EXPERTISES:

Technical expertise in assisting in the improvement of production processes.
Use of Siemens PLC software.

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, climb, reach, and kneel.
Potential employee will be required to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
