Salary Range: $42,397.74 - $42,397.74

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

This position will have responsibility managing mouse colony, PCR genotyping, perfusion and immunohistochemistry. Will have responsibility assisting lab members with surgery, miniaturize microscope imagining behavior and data analysis. The position will also have an opportunity of being part of independent research project and publication.

Responsibilities

Managing mouse colony, PCR genotyping, perfusion and immunohistochemistry.

Preparing materials for and assisting in experiments.

Performing simple experiments according to written protocols.

Ordering and maintaining laboratory supplies.

Maintaining lab notebook or records related to task.

Preparing various solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of college or a completed A.A. program with an emphasis in chemistry, biology or physics or a completed animal husbandry program.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in biology, physics, chemistry, or other related fields.

At least one year of research experience.

Experience in mouse research.

Experience genotyping and immunohistochemistry.

Other Requirements

Must successfully complete all online systems training requirements.

Knowledge of various related laboratory procedures and techniques.

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
