This is a 12 Month Contract - W2 + Benefits

Desired Skills and Experience *

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, or related field required.
• Experience writing consumer facing guides or manuals, ideally quick start guides - for technical products.
• Demonstrated success working with sales, product, engineers, customer service and marketing teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe creative suite, Agile, Jira, and other related software.
• Ability to present complex data in clear, concise text.
• Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently.
• Ability to edit and proofread work of colleagues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent writing and grammatical skills.

Plusses

• Experience technically writing in the consumer electronic industry a plus
• Demonstrated success working with sales, product, engineers, customer service and marketing teams.

Day-to-Day *

• Insight Global is assisting a Home Security client in their search for a part time Technical Writer, to work remotely during PST hours. We’re looking for a driven and collaborative technical writer with experience creating technical documentation for the consumer electronics industry. The Technical writer will be responsible for creating and revising content for this client’s products, including user manuals and quick start guides (QSGs) as well as any ad hoc technical writing needs. They will collaborate with the marketing and product management teams. The ideal candidate needs technical copywriting experience communicating product or service features into easy-to- understand benefits to the customer.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
