Summary of Position:

To develop Operation and Service Manuals for all new plants and/or plant components to enable the customer to identify parts that were used to build their equipment. To assemble Operation & Service Manuals for all new plants to enable customers to operate and maintain their equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compile digital part manuals for integration with eCommerce site via Documoto platform (training to be provided), based on engineering data according to the manufacturing production schedule. (Future state).
  • Produce static part manuals based on engineering data according to manufacturing production schedule or sales order.
  • Maintain technical publication databases to prioritize publication development and document distribution.
  • Manually assemble technical publication hard copies.
  • Assemble technical publications and prepare for shipping.

Essential Functions of the Job (with or without reasonable accommodation):

  • Associates degree in engineering/design, CAD certification, or applicable experience in drafting/modeling required.
  • Training and/or experience in SolidWorks required.
  • Training and/or experience in Composer and/or Documoto preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical data including engineering drawings, maintenance and operations manuals, and other technical information.
  • Proficient in Windows-based programs (Word, Excel, Teams, & SharePoint) required.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and priorities.
  • Must have solid written communication skills.
  • Technical writing, editing and documentation experience preferred but not required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Proficient with development of online parts catalogs would be ideal but not required.
  • 3+ year experience or education working with and/or interpreting engineering data or engineering drawings.
  • 3+ year of experience or education using or working with technical publications preferred.
  • Graphic design skills or desktop publishing skills preferred (InDesign, Photoshop, FrameMaker and Illustrator).
