Job Description:

We are a Preschool Educational Center with children ages 4 months to 5 years of age. Our hours are from 7:00AM-6:00PM. We offer full-time and part-time schedules to accommodate those who may be going to school. Recent graduates and retired teachers are strongly encouraged to apply. VIP IV DCC is proud to focus on early academics, physical activity, and social emotional learning to nurture healthy bodies, happy hearts, and growing minds.

Teaching responsibilities include, but not limited to:

· Good communication skills with children, parents and coworkers

· Maintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized

· Strong enthusiasm for children

· Patience and humor

· Creativity and flexibility

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

One or a combination of the following

- Course of Study or College Credits in one of the following areas:

· Early Childhood Education/Education

· Sociological, Historical, Philosophical Foundations of Education

· Sociology of Education or History of Education or Philosophy of Education

· Child Development or Child Psychology

· Educational Development Psychology of Psychological Foundations of Education

- 9+ credits in Early Childhood Education AND 2+ years of experience in childcare

- 5+ years of experience in childcare
