The Teacher of Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders is responsible for the instructional program and implementation of activities for the students in the assigned classroom. Responsible for the coordination of the activities of the assigned para-educator and support staff providing services for students in the assigned area.

Available:
One (1) full-time positions; 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week. Academic Calendar, 186 days per year.
Salary:
Certificated Salary Schedule. Genesee Intermediate Educational Association (GIEA). A competitive salary schedule featuring educational pay lanes and steps. Years of service will be considered.
Benefits:
We offer five different health insurance plans along with dental, vision, life and disability insurance after one full day of employment. Employees shall be subject to the co-payment of health care costs in accordance with state law.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree required. Valid Michigan teacher's certificate required with approval in autistic impairment or other special education endorsement and willing to obtain certification in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
*Candidates with ZA or ZS/Early Childhood Education endorsement preferred.
Experience:
Demonstrated successful student teaching experience required; two years of experience.
