TELEWORK: This position offers an opportunity for a hybrid work schedule with a minimum 2-day work in office.
YOUR FUTURE TEAM
As part of TCEQ’s Office of Waste, you would contribute to agency efforts to regulate the generation, treatment, storage, and disposal of various wastes and the cleanup of contaminated sites. See details about what we do.
This position is a member of our Remediation Division.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a part of the division’s Remediation Team, our Project Manager will play a key role in achieving TCEQ’s mission. You would use your skills and experience to:
- Oversee all phases of corrective action work at Superfund Section sites, including investigations, remediation, monitoring, and systems operations.
- Plan and coordinate all phases of entry level corrective action work in accordance with Superfund Section guidelines.
- Prepare work orders and reviews invoices, and monitors project budgets.
- Update database and maintain project files.
- Communicate with internal staff, the public, contractors, and other governmental entities. Represent the agency at technical functions, seminars, and meetings.
- Perform related technical or administrative tasks as assigned.
- Attend technical and professional development training.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor’s degree with a major in biology, chemistry, engineering, environmental science, earth science, geology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in assessment and/or remediation of sites under Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP).
- Experience in preparing and/or reviewing technical and/or regulatory correspondence (e.g., technical reports, letters).
- Degree or course work in geology, chemistry, biology, or environmental science, or environmental, chemical, or civil engineering.
