Woodberry Kitchen is looking for experienced servers to join the team during an exciting next chapter. The award-winning Baltimore restaurant recently reopened for regular dining in the Tavern and as a top-tier Events venue.

Tavern servers will provide guests with the highest quality service in an intimate setting, while keeping the dining experience moving at all times. Depending on scheduling, this role may also include service during events, including weddings and other parties.

This is a great opportunity to work with the best food and beverage and to join and contribute to a dynamic team focused on both excellence and empathy. The right servers will be team players but must be able to work independently and to manage the demands of multiple tables at a time.

Responsibilities:

• Set up the dining room and do pre-shift sidework
• Provide warm hospitality and efficient service while managing multiple tables at a time
• Clear tables as needed, keep drinks filled, and anticipate and respond to guest needs
• Communicate guest requests to kitchen and bar staff and/or management
• Break down the dining room and do post-shift sidework
• Adhere to all policies as provided by HR regarding staff disciplinary action, onboarding, anti-discrimination, harassment, ethical behavior, and any other policy defined in the Foodshed Handbook or otherwise
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with the team and guests

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of server experience, preferably in a high-volume restaurant
• Ability to effectively carry dishes and cocktail trays
• Friendly, professional demeanor with guests
• Ability to take direction and to work and collaborate as a team member
• Ability to be on your feet for significant stretches of time and to lift approximately 50 lb
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Enthusiasm for delicious, locally-sourced food is a plus!

Compensation:

Starting at $23/hour, plus tips

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Evening shift
• Night shift
• Weekend availability
