True Roots Catering, a premier catering company, is seeking an experienced cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing delicious and high-quality meals for our clients. We cater to a wide range of events, including weddings, corporate events, private parties, and other special occasions.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in a timely and efficient manner

- Follow recipes and ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standard

- Ensure that all food is properly stored, labeled, and rotated

- Ensure that the kitchen and all equipment are clean and sanitized

- Assist with menu planning and development as needed

- Work collaboratively with other members of the team to ensure that all events are successful

- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines

- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a cook in a professional kitchen

- Experience in catering is preferred

- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
