Today's challenge is to support the modernization of the Minuteman Weapon System by crafting, building, testing and deploying new Reentry Systems and Ground Equipment that will enable the new system to perform for many years to come. As the Systems Engineer you will:
  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and efficiency analyses for total systems—analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
  • Ensure the logical and detailed conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications

Ability to obtain a secret security clearance is required. For uncleared individuals, the security clearance process will begin upon offer acceptance.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience as both a technical leader and individual contributor for systems engineering concepts and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple engineering fields to identify technical product characteristics to develop requirement specifications and/or significant experience with MBSE approaches on Systems Engineering teams
Desired Skills:
  • Proficiency in the following engineering tools: SysML/Cameo Magic Draw, DOORS, MATLAB
  • Recognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change
  • Missile design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
  • Master's Degree in Systems Engineering, INCOSE Certification, or relevant Graduate Certificate
  • Active DOD Top Secret security clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
