Responsibilities:
Arcfield is seeking a Mid to Senior level Systems Engineer to support our US Navy customer, Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), in Washington, DC.

This position will support the nation’s most reliable nuclear deterrent – US Navy SLBM programs by assisting Arcfield’s engineering team in the areas of production, design, and development. Arcfield has worked closely with Navy SSP in support of this contract and has established a valued and trusted relationship over the last sixty-five years in support of this mission.

This position works daily from the Arcfield offices at Maritime Plaza in Washington DC (in close proximity to the Washington Navy Yard). It is within sight of the Capitol Building and is easily accessible by public transportation (Green line on the DC Metro) as well as I-295 and 395. Up to 20% travel can be expected.
Duties:
  • Participate in DoD/Navy/SSP and DOE/NNSA development working groups
  • Coordinate schedules between the Navy SSP client, other government departments and agencies, and industry partners in support of the program’s mission execution
  • Serve as independent evaluator on design development, integration, qualification, and production reviews
  • Capture and track action items
  • Analyze and trace requirements
  • Review/comment on detailed test plans and reports
  • Assess design and production efforts
  • Represent Navy SSP when SSP personnel cannot be present
  • Drafting or assisting with developing presentations and technical papers
  • Assist Program Management Analysts when necessary
  • Perform duties to support the Arcfield office
Qualifications:
  • BS with 10-12 years experience, MS with 8-10 years experience, or PhD with 5-7 years experience.
  • Current Top Secret Clearance with ability to maintain
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, operations research, engineering management, or related STEM degree program.
  • Experience with systems design, architecture, requirements, or operations.
  • Proven core systems engineering process knowledge.
  • Proven communication skills.
