We are looking to expand the services offered out of our newly established Mankato office to include surveys. We have immediate design surveys and construction staking work in southern Minnesota for this new crew. The crew will collaborate with and receive support from the Minneapolis office while growing the business. The vision is to provide complete surveys services to the public and private sectors including topographic, boundary, easement, and as-built surveys, construction staking, and preparing plats.
About the Role:
Come and join our Survey Crew! We have a fulltime opening for a Survey Field Technician to join our Survey team in our Mankato, Minnesota office.
You will be a part of a quality survey crew under the direction of a Survey Crew Chief and will assist in the completion of field and drafting work to include boundary, topographical and construction surveys.
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Survey Crew Chief, the Survey Field Technician will assist in obtaining field surveys and processing the data. Tasks include:

• Establish proper control and equipment calibration for field surveys
• Conduct topographic, boundary, easement, and other land surveys
• Stake construction projects
• Conduct as-built surveys
• Analyze and upload survey data and notes
• Process field survey data to create CAD files

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent and be 18 years or older
• Operation of field equipment
• Working knowledge of survey instruments
• Knowledge of Trimble data collectors, Total Stations and GPS receivers
• 2+ years survey experience
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

• Software comprehension of AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, GeoPak and general computer skills preferred
