This is a full time (0.8 - 1.0 Status), day shift Registered Nurse position in the Surgery department.

The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in the perioperative setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. The RN is knowledgeable in all surgical procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.

Minimum Required: RN License required, BSN Preferred. BLS for Healthcare Provider and ACLS within 3 months of hire. Must have recent experience within last five years in the perioperative field. Must complete moderate sedation course within 3 months of hire. Proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills, and computer skills required.

Preferred / Desired: Prefer CNOR Certification. Radiology experience preferred. Cardiac Monitoring experience preferred.

On Call / Weekend Requirements: Call every 6th weekend & rotating Holidays.
