We are Nevados Engineering, an innovative startup headquartered in San Francisco, CA that is pioneering the solar industry. At Nevados, we believe that solar installations should fit to the earth instead of forcing the earth to fit to solar installations. We set out to make solar a cost-competitive source of clean energy in every way possible. We specialize in designing and selling mounting systems for the solar industry called Single Axis Trackers. Our product, the Nevados “All Terrain Tracker”, is unique in that it enables installation on ungraded terrain which triples the amount of land available for developers, reduces construction costs, and reduces construction labor on flat, sloped, and rolling terrain.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialistwho will be responsible for order fulfillment, project coordination, documentation management, managing open order reports with suppliers and take part in logistics requirements and invoice processing. The role is not limited to these activities and opportunities will arise to take on additional responsibilities.

The individual will work collaboratively with the supply chain team, engineering, sales, leadership, suppliers, and Nevados customers. They will be expected to take leadership in accomplishing tasks and to lead meetings with the internal team, suppliers and customers, organize thoughts and release notes with open items and actions to stakeholders.

Nevados is partially a remote team, and this person must be a self-starter, be able to manage their time wisely and be driven for success. Organizational, communication and leadership skills will help this person be successful in the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Take part in coordination of planning efforts from costing management, PO release, on time delivery to ship from factory to site.
  • Provide detailed updates on part status to internal and external teams while maintaining current status of components, builds and opportunities.
  • Manage & organize open order reports with suppliers on a weekly basis. This includes hosting meetings with suppliers to stay aligned on open orders and required ship dates.
  • Help stabilize the quality program and maintain requirements for sampling, inspection and sign offs between engineering, supply chain and the supplier.
  • Order fulfillment to meet project and customer demands.
  • Assist in implementation and maintenance of new ERP system while helping to design MRP requirements

Salary: Competitive salary will be determined and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Location: Hybrid - The supply chain team is located in Orange County and will require in-person and remote working environments. Opportunities for travel with on-site meetings at Headquarters, with suppliers, construction sites and with customers as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 1 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement and Logistics.

  • 1+ years being part of a supply chain team and working, communicating and negotiating with overseas suppliers.
  • Knowledge of working relationships with domestica and international suppliers.
  • Creating / modifying reports to effectively analyze supply chain including all functions – planning, purchasing, logistics, and finance.
  • Ability to professionally communicate (verbal and written) with suppliers and customers.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel abilities with knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
  • Go-getter mentally with leadership skills.
  • Sourcing experience and relevant experience working in the steel industry is a plus.

Skills: A team player with strong communication, computer, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
