Overview:

Interstates is growing, and we are currently seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to join our Interstates Supply Chain Team. The Supply Chain Specialist will assist with ensuring quotes and estimates from our vendors accurately meet the needs of our clients. Interstates seeks ambitious, innovative individuals with the ability to grow and maintain value-added relationships with our team and external customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Read electrical drawings and technical client specifications
  • Solicit quotes and estimates from vendors
  • Ensure all quotes and submittals from vendors accurately meet customer’s needs
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain Coordinators and Estimators on scheduling and bids
  • Be a resource for more other Supply Chain team members
  • Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
  • 2- or 4- year degree in engineering, construction management, or related technical field
  • 3-5 years’ experience in electrical estimating, supply chain management, electrical sales, or related technical field
  • Experience reading electrical drawings and customer specifications
  • Able to manage and prioritize own workload
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Customer-orientation, problem-solving, and teamwork competencies a must

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience negotiating with vendors
  • Experience in Bluebeam, Word, and Excel.

Location/Travel: This position is located in either our Omaha, NE, Sioux Falls, SD or Sioux Center, IA offices. Travel will be required up to 25% of the time.
