NextPhase Medical Devices LLC is a fast-growing, engineering design and contract manufacturer of single-use and electromechanical medical devices, with facilities in Rochester, NH, Mansfield, MA, Waldwick, NJ, and Tijuana, Mexico.
Based in our Mansfield, MA facility, the Supply Chain Manager will analyze, identify, recommend, and implement purchasing strategies and inventory management techniques to optimize inventory while maintaining service level commitments. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organization and communication skills and possess the ability to work effectively with internal and external partners.
Other Responsibilities include:
- Supervise the daily Procurement team activities to support the manufacturing operations
ensuring On-time delivery from supply base.
- Manages supplier communications with internal stakeholders regarding component order
status, lead times, and resolution of open issues escalations.
- Maintain Supplier Evaluation Activities: request quotes (RFQ) from suppliers, evaluate new
suppliers, Scorecard Performance and negotiate contracts.
- Recommend and lead new opportunities in process improvement and lean transformation
projects.
- Maintain minimum order quantities, lead-times, and other pertinent information in IQMS, the
Company’s ERP, as required.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial/Business/Supply Chain Management -preferred, BA/BS -
required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in purchasing and/or supply management in a
manufacturing setting.
- Supervisory and Effective leadership experience with a collaborative style.
- Contract manufacturing, Electro-Mechanical, or Medical Device OEM experience is preferred.
- Certified Purchasing Manager and/or APICS certification including Certified in Production and
Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), certification
preferred.
- Experience with IQMS or similar ERP system.
- Familiarity with working in an ISO-regulated environment, preferably ISO 13485, is a plus.
- Must have the ability to analyze trends, make recommendations and implement changes based on
KPI Reporting.
- Experience in Project Management Methodology.
- Solid understanding of purchasing strategies and Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP).
