About the program
SafeCare is an evidence-based training for parents who are at risk or have been reported for child maltreatment. Parents receive weekly home visits to improve skills in several areas, including home safety, health care, and parent-child interactions. We provide short term or long-term in-home intervention and family education, based on program specification, to families at risk of out-of-home placement to children due to abuse, neglect, delinquency or homelessness related to domestic violence.

Provides staff supervision and ensure appropriate services are provided in accordance with contractual and applicable service and accreditation standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure implementation of trauma-informed services and intervention in accordance with applicable regulatory, contract, agency and center requirements.
- Coordinate and facilitate the intake process and assignment of new cases to assigned staff.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, referral sources and community partners.
- Provide on-going leadership to staff in accordance with established policies and procedures. Partner with Human Resources in talent acquisition and retention efforts. Assist in preparation and implementation of relevant professional development, training and performance management. Facilitate team meetings, supervision with staff as required by contract and coordinate the daily activities of program.
- Review, correct and assist in the writing of all reports, case notes, data entry, treatment plans and correspondence.
- Audit case records to ensure completeness and compliance with prescribed services and contract requirements.
- Participate in developing, implementing, and monitoring outcome measurements and processes to assure quality improvement related to service provisions.
- Assist in the maintenance of information and data management systems by providing information and statistical reports as required.
- Provide direct service as needed to ensure continuous agency supervision and service provision to clients and referral sources required by the contract funding bodies.
Job Qualifications
Education, Training and Licensure/Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in human service field, Social Work preferred.
Experience
- Supervisory experience providing in-home services preferred
- Knowledge of child welfare policies and programs, family, and individual theories; treatment (intervention and technique) philosophies and strategies of home-based services, as well as knowledge and availability of local resources are necessary.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Ability to apply the Family Preservation models in intervention strategies with clients and families.
- Ability to prepare reports, documents and summaries using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style.
- Knowledge and skills in substance abuse and domestic violence preferred.
- Demonstrates cultural and ethnic sensitivity with a non-judgmental positive attitude towards families.
- Ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
- Ability to cultivate relationships with other professionals and coordinate resources as they apply to client needs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to speak, read and write fluent English.
- Ability to effectively utilize computer software.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to advocate for staff’s needs and program needs within the organization.
