Student Pastor
Cross City Church is an intergenerational, multi-ethnic and mission focused church with over 2000 attending weekend services with a well-established legacy of changed lives in the heart of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. The Student Pastor will report to the Executive Pastor of Ministries to meet the student ministry needs and objectives of Cross City Church. We are looking for our next great ministry leader to help accomplish Cross City's REAL strategy: Relate well to God and others, Engage the lost, Adopt new believers into the church, and Develop others who can lead. The ideal candidate will have an unmatched passion to serve and disciple students, plan and direct student programs, be willing to collaborate and lead, and be a positive team player with the following experience:
Experience required:
- Previous Student Pastor roles and/or comparable training/experience in roles leading up to Student Pastor
- Establishing and maintaining meaningful relationships with students, parents, and volunteers
- Planning, promotion, and development of Student programs and activities
- Leading/supervising a team of associates and/or interns
This position will handle:
- Ministering the Gospel to and discipleship of Cross City students
- Enlistment, training, and direction of volunteers and leaders
- Hiring and direction of employed staff
- Planning, promotion, and development of weekly and annual programs for Students
- Oversight of Student activities calendar in coordination with church-wide calendar
- Oversee and direct Sunday morning and Wednesday night Student activities
- Maximize use of new Student area within the facility
- Be available for counseling of students, parents, and volunteers, as needed
This is a full-time, salary exempt position with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The regular schedule is Sunday-Thursday, with some alteration to the schedule during events or as needed. This position is eligible for full benefits, including medical, dental, vision, long term disability, life insurance, retirement, vacation, sick leave, birthday leave, holidays, minister housing allowance, social security supplement, etc.
