Required Qualifications
Applicant must be a current Morton College student carrying 6 credits hours in the Fall and Spring. One credit in the Summer. Good academic standing with a minimum GPA of a 2.0.

Maintain an online log with hours of participation completed by deadlines set by Recruitment Specialist.

Must participate in a pre-service training, all scheduled meetings, and a developmental relationship with an approved mentor.

Must be available for 15- 20 hours of service per week.

Must have the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds in a professional manner.

Must have a positive attitude enthusiasm about Morton College.

May not have a disciplinary record.

Must be able to demonstrate the Morton College core values of compassion, fairness, respect, responsibility, tolerance and truth.

Job Summary
Morton College Student Ambassadors will receive training of which is developed to suit the specification of the selected group of students within a given semester. To expand future job skills, leadership and group facilitation skills will be emphasized. Ambassadors will be given the opportunity to lead, organize and plan activities. This experience will provide skills, which can be utilized in many aspects of the student’s professional and academic career.

Specific Job Duties
The responsibilities and duties of a Student Ambassadors may include but is not limited to:
Hosting official campus events.

Serving as a greeter to the Morton College Community

Providing campus tours.

Assisting in the planning and delivery of recruitment, orientation, and enrollment events.

Speaking as a MC student representative to civic community groups.

Providing service to the campus community.

Assist in the promotion of academic and student services throughout the campus.

Assisting in graduation ceremony.

Participating in additional functions, as deemed appropriate by college administration.

Salary Range $12 per hour
