Shimmick is seeking a highly talented Structural Engineer to be based out of Lewisville, TX. This challenging position will provide an excellent growth opportunity while improving the infrastructure of the city.

Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
• Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
• Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
• Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
• Prepares technical specification sections.
• Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil ngineering(with Structural Track or Focus), Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• PE (Professional Engineering) License

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience overseeing hydraulic spillway consrete sturctural features of work with at least 5500 cubic yards of concrete in the field

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
