The Strategic Planning Manager plays a critical role in enabling all markets to achieve their sustaining and expansion goals by using data to drive resource allocation decisions. You will partner with cross functional partners such as Operations, Government Relations, Hardwares, and Logistics to make sure every decision we make is aligned with the overall company strategy. You will own the recommendation on vehicle and battery allocation for all the markets as well as purchase orders. The role reports to the Head of Supply Chain. You are expected to be based in our HQ in Santa Monica, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with Central and Local Operations, Hardware Engineering, Government Relations, Logistics and other multi-functional stakeholders to understand the forecasting demand for vehicles, batteries and parts and the main drivers.
• Refine the demand/supply model to support market growth objectives by reviewing historical data trends, researching demand drivers, and evaluating forecast results.
• Monitor the inventory across different nodes on our supply chain and execute replenishment strategies while proactively identifying improvements.
• Oversee inventory reporting and collaborate with cross functional partners to ensure data accuracy and deliver actionable insights to improve asset efficiency.
• Leverage reports and analytics to make recommendations in line with business strategy and continuously increase inventory optimization, vehicle and battery availability and capital expense efficiency.
• Collaborate with the Eng/Data team to automate processes and create dashboards that act as a source of truth for VEO.
• Participate in the system/ERP implementation and automate the strategic planning processes to increase efficiency and enable transparency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in Strategic Planning, Business Intelligence, or related field
• A strong bias for using data to make decisions and establish priorities; ability to interpret and translate data into actionable insights for a range of stakeholders
• Exceptional Excel, Google sheet and data management skills
• Self-driven with an ownership mindset; Agile, detail oriented and result driven
• Excellent communication with the ability to engage and align internal stakeholders
• Embody a true pioneering spirit in a start-up environment while simultaneously developing processes, automation, and delivering results
• Comfortable to make recommendations or decisions with 60% information
