Job description

As a Per Diem Caregiver, you will provide non-medical personal care and household assistance to clients in various settings including homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and hospitals throughout Western Connecticut in an Hourly or Live-In role. You will work under the supervision of experienced leaders to develop and monitor the plan of care for each client to ensure that their needs are fully met. For any short shifts worked, 4-6 hours, you'll be eligible for a $20 bonus in addition to the hourly rate!

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care services to clients such as bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and feeding
• Observe and report changes in the client's condition or behavior to the supervising nurse or other healthcare professional
• Companionship, errands, laundry and grocery shopping
• Medication reminders
• Transportation
• Meal preparation and assistance with eating
• Assistance with an exercise regimen
• Appointment and calendar management
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for the client
• Adhere to RVNA's policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a caregiver preferred
• Must be able to work 12 hour shifts or short shifts of 4 to 6 hours
• Must be available to work on a per diem basis
• Must have reliable transportation
