Levelset, a Procore Company, is looking for a Staff Writer, Fintech. In this role, you will be a critical member of the content marketing team, creating help-first articles and educational content that teach construction professionals everything they need to know about capital and financial management to manage and lead a growing construction company.

As a Staff Writer, Fintech, you’ll partner with SEO, social, video, and other marketing team members to build a universe of help-first content that grows website traffic, increases on-page engagement, and gives users a clear pathway through content to conversion.

Strong candidates will have a strong background in business finance, whether as a writer, teacher, manager, consultant, or similar role. Excellent candidates will have an extensive portfolio of existing content that demonstrates authority in construction business finance and capital.

This position reports to the Manager, Content Marketing, and is based in our New Orleans, LA office. Remote candidates are also encouraged to apply. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

• Write compelling educational content (both long-form and short-form articles that help construction businesses understand complex financial and capital topics)
• Build relationships with subject matter experts (SMEs) to organize complex topics into a logical hierarchy of information, identify new article topics, and produce original, authoritative content
• Translate content for other channels to create engaging educational content (e.g. video scripts, social posts, short-form content) for distribution across other channels and platforms
• Re-optimize content; update existing content to increase traffic and engagement
• Conduct keyword research and analyze competitors to develop article outlines

What we’re looking for:

• Portfolio of written work on the business, financial management, accounting, or closely related topics
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related degree; or an equivalent level of experience
• Ability to write for a variety of audiences, from office managers to CEOs; strong interpersonal communication skills
• Fluency in English with impeccable spelling and grammar
• Ability to organize content with a clear, logical hierarchy of information
• Knowledge of content marketing and SEO best practices
• Excellent task management and prioritization skills
