Touchmark in the West Hills is Portland’s leading resort-style retirement community enriching the lives of residents and their families through five-star hospitality, services, and amenities. We are currently seeking the right person to join our growing team as a Scheduler for our Health Services Department.
In the Scheduler area of this position you are responsible for creating and maintaining the team member staffing schedule for our Assisted Living and Memory Care departments. The scheduler will also be responsible for calling team members to fill open shifts.
In addition to the scheduling, this position does include mentoring of new hires. Mentoring the new hires will include making sure they have completed their learning checklists, completing the required trainings, and connecting them with trainers and mentors. This does require being on-call along with a rotation of being on call on the weekends. This will support three (3) shifts with 60+ employees and we are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We are looking for a person who is dynamic at creating a team environment, inspires people, positive attitude, jumps in when needed, is great at follow-up and fantastic organizational skills. Sets goals for the department and helps the team achieve the goals. Team player but works alongside the team and knows what is going on with the residents and team members.
Position requirements:
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- At least 1 year of scheduling experience in a healtcare setting is required
- At least 6 months experience as a care partner or med aide
- Demonstrates leadership ability and capability to work effectively with all levels of personnel
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- The ability to multi task
- Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
