This is a full-time benefited position working 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday (may include periodic Saturday hours).

Compensation: $149,947.20 - $163,841.60 annualized, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to the Dental Director.
- Provides direct patient care in the dental center on a regular schedule and in emergency call situations as directed by the Dental Director.
- Assures adequate supervision of the dental hygienist and assistant staff, while performing dental services.
- Provides oversight of clinical services to dental hygiene students and dental residents.
- Cooperates in activities with other operating units of the Health Center (e.g., participation in health fairs, screening activities and community outreach).
- Assist the Dental Director in planning and implementing new programs for the dental department
- Responsible for following Center protocols and observance of current OSHA requirements and those particular to TVHC, Inc. Maintains confidentially regarding privileged, administrative, client information and Corporate Compliance in a professional manner.
- Working as a member of the health care team, and assisting in education of patients and the target community in preventive health care and health maintenance concepts.
- Demonstration of patterns of continued learning in order to ensure growth as a practitioner.
- Participates in the selection of new personnel and evaluation of existing staff.
- Assumes other responsibilities at the direction of the Dental Director.
- Performs all duties and service in full compliance with TVHC’s Service Excellence Standards.
Qualifications:
- Must be in possession of a valid license to practice in the State of California, including DEA license and CPR required.
- Have a thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of dentistry and allied services commensurate with his/her training.
- Additional training/experience in pedodontics is helpful, as well as a working knowledge of Denti-Cal scope of benefits, and/or dentistry as practiced under a managed care format.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
- Proven ability to work with multi-cultural and diverse client base; sensitivity to socio-cultural issues required.
- Demonstrates flexibility in regards to job duties and assignments.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Education and Experience:
- Requires completion of the curriculum of an approved school of dentistry and possession of a DDS or DMD degree, DEA and current CPR certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in dentistry
