ProspectBlue is partnered with a manufacturing client in Green Bay, WI that is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team!
Summary of Position:
The accountant serves a key role within the organization. They are responsible for billing customers, applying cash to customer accounts, following up on the status of past due accounts as well as working on product costing.
Major Responsibilities:
- Receives invoice details from shipping.
- Bills customers according to the details of the order daily.
- Works with customer service to bill for any deposits or shipping.
- Applies cash received daily to customer accounts.
- Updating Standard costs for the Wisconsin locations
- Recording job cost adjustments.
- Standard cost variance analysis;
- Answers telephone calls that go to the operator with a friendly,
- professional approach.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Processing Customer Invoicing
- Recording customer receipts
- Making credit and collection calls.
- Reconciling Customer Deposits
- Working knowledge of job costing and inventory accounting
- Knowledge of accounting software, preferably Epicor.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, agreements and related
- Ability to communicate well with co-workers and supervisor
- Ability to solve practical problems and adeptly deal with numerous variables
Educational Requirements/Experience:
- College degree in accounting.
- 3-5 years of experience.
- Manufacturing and production experience required.
- Position commands attention to detail, visual perception, self-initiative and team participation in resolving practical issues.
