Summary:
Senior VP of Operations must be able to make good judgments without the benefit of others immediate counsel and must be exceptional documenters. They must be able to perform their duties autonomously.
Additional Responsibilities- Director of Operations
- Improve the business processes for the department through analysis and collaboration with senior leaders in the organization.
- Get involved in Long-Term business planning and continue to drive operational process improvement.
- Forecast and review network balance and adjust as needed.
- Plan out strategies and oversee their implementation
- Analyze the performance of the department, make recommendations to improve, and implement said improvements
- Act as responsible individual for department with regards to service & safety performance
- Implement strategy to improve/build upon regional, dedicated and OTR network strategies
- Build customer relationships to ensure overall satisfaction, account retention and improved service.
- P&L responsibility with focus on driving increased and sustained revenue growth.
- Coach, train, lead management, planners and operations staff in the values of the organization. Develop and foster the speed of trust within the organization.
Required Skills- Director of Operations
- 10+ years experience in transportation sector
- 5+ years experience in leadership role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective decision-making skills
- Experience writing business plans
- Intermediate user ability for Microsoft Excel
