Job description
Job Summary:
Supports the organization with initial compliance and ongoing preparation, testing and monitoring of conformance to established quality assurance processes and standards. Performs audit/evaluation of internal controls, communications, risk assessments and maintenance of documentation as related to compliance with internal and external quality standards. Identifies risk and evaluates deficiencies while working with internal departments to appropriately remedy them. Facilitates internal training on quality assurance requirements, processes, and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Maintain the Quality System:
- Internal Audits: scheduling and performing
- Maintain Facility Readiness
- Management Review:
- Management Review of the ISO 17025:2017 Quality System: scheduling (to coordinate with RQM), performing, follow-up of action items
- Corrective Actions:
- Issuing, reviewing responses and closing out
- Quality Training:
- New/Updated QAPs, New employees (Quality Indoctrination)
- Reviewing/signing NODs
- Responding to Customer Surveys
- Contract Review
- Supplier Surveys
- Lean/Gemba walks
- Report/Procedure review (varies by facility)
- Ensure Lean Daily Management Boards are incompliance/GEMBA
Job Requirements:
- Receives some instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. Works independently
- Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Builds productive internal/external working relationships
- Develops professional QA expertise
- Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
- Seasoned and well versed with NTS Quality Management System and A2LA requirements
- Proficient with ISO 17025 and working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ANSI 20.20, IPC-610 specifications
- Good understanding of Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action and Internal Auditing methodologies and techniques
- Proficient with Internal Audit Procedures. Good understanding of product testing procedures, data collection, and reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in desktop computing and utilization of company information systems
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products
Experience and Education:
- HS Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- ASQ, Lead Auditor or equivalent membership/certification preferred
- 4-8 years of relevant QA experience
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
