Senior Payroll Analyst

PAM Health’s (PAM) Senior Payroll Analyst will report directly to the Payroll Manager as part of the Finance department. As the Senior Payroll Analyst you will be responsible for garnishment processing, child support processing, assist with reconciling and registering payroll taxes, assist with special projects, and will act as a back up to the payroll team.

I. Payroll

  • Process Garnishments and Child Support.
  • Multi-state tax reconciliation and state/local registration.
  • Research new states regarding payroll regulation and tax law.
  • Reconcile vacation accrual balances and make corrections.
  • Process pay for one company each pay cycle.
  • Review/Approve/Update changes being made from business processes/workflow (Name, address, rate, job, account info,etc.) as needed.
  • Compile information as needed for Social Security Administration, audits, or other general requests.
  • Research payroll tax inquires/issues for employees to verify proper set-up within UKG.
  • Assist with quarter-end and year-end payroll activities including W-2s. Create W-2c correction when necessary.
  • Ensure that tax updates are submitted timely and accurately into the payroll system. This includes but not limited to updating the state unemployment rates in UKG Pro system annually as needed.
  • Assist with special projects such as system upgrades and enhancements that require User Acceptance Testing (UTA).
  • Assist in exporting time from the UKG time keeping module and import into UKG’s web based payroll solution. Reconcile export files to the results of import to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Document internal payroll procedures and update when changes occur.
  • Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Training: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or in a business related preferred, or equivalent years of payroll experience.

Experience: 3-5 years experience in a payroll processing positon within in a mid to large company.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll calculations and multi-state payroll taxation requirements.
  • 3-5 years of multi-state corporate payroll processing experience and exposure to large corporate environment.
  • 3-5 years of wage attachments processing such as garnishments, child support, levies, etc.
  • UKG experience is preferred.
  • Must possess strong organizational, time management, and written/oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, with intermediate knowledge of excel.
