· This is a full-time Sr. Cost Accountant position that can be located at either our Columbus Corporate Office or Garland, TX facility.

Essential Job Functions:

· Collaborates with Operations & Engineering to ensure the accuracy of standard costs in JDE

· Partners with the management team in the development of annual plant budget

· Reviews monthly budget performance and related performance measures. Identifies issues and offers recommendations for improvement.

· Proposes cost reduction opportunities via review of cost of goods sold in addition to shop floor observation

· Performs make vs. buy analysis as needed

· Partners with Operations to execute a robust cycle count process

· Conducts monthly slow-moving & obsolete Inventory review

Essential Skills and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. Minimum 5-7 years of previous accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment

· Full understanding of Accounting systems and procedures

· Good understanding of Cost Accounting Principles and Procedures related to product costing, modular bills of materials, manufacturing routings, and inventory control

· Data Analysis – Good systems retrieval and data interpretation skills.

· Budgeting and cost control – Understands budgets, flex budget concept and cost control theory

· Financial Analysis – Good understanding of all the elements that make up a financial P&L

· Advanced Excel skills

· Proficient with ERP systems such as JDE

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
