Responsibilities:
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervision of all Shop and E&I Maintenance activities. Complete employee evaluations, resolve employee problems and disciplinary issues in accordance with the Union contract. Consult with Human Resources as appropriate.
- Oversee and ensure development, implementation and monitoring of a comprehensive safety program in assigned area.
- Determine staffing needs and manpower requirements, plan and arrange for staff development and training based on appropriate skills assessment to ensure effective work assignments.
- Work in conjunction with maintenance planning and operations to maximize maintenance productivity and improve schedule attainment while minimizing impacts to plant operations.
- Provide guidance and direction to maintenance staff to resolve problems, promote accountability, and drive efficiency improvements.
- Conceive, develop, and implement ongoing cost containment/improvement initiatives including:
- Capital and general expense reduction
- Employee productivity improvement
- Completion of weekly cost forecasts to meet budget targets

Qualifications:
- 7+ years relevant work experience
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- BS degree
- 5+ years’ experience in supervisory/management position
